Piano Sight-Reading Trainer

Fast sight-readers don't name every note — they see shapes. Intervals, triads, 7th chords and broken-chord patterns (Alberti, arpeggios, 1-5-8-10) flash on the staff for a moment; play them on any piano and check yourself, or connect a MIDI keyboard for automatic feedback. Every shape's reaction time is tracked, and the ones you're slowest at come up more often.

Flash mode hides the notes after a moment, so you have to take in the whole shape at a glance instead of counting lines. The time shrinks after three right answers in a row and grows after a miss. Missed shapes come back two questions later. Without MIDI, your reaction time runs until you tap Show answer — so reveal as soon as your hands have played it. Degree numbers show each note as 1–7 in the key — handy at first, but switch them off once the shapes read on sight.
